Attending seminars is one of my passions. This is where I get most of my learning experiences and it helps me a lot. Most of them come with a fee and are quite expensive. Though sometimes I pay for my registration, I only do that when I’m really interested with the seminar and if there’s really no way that I could attend it for free.
But oftentimes I’m able to attend these seminars without having to spend not even a single centavo. I even wonder sometimes how I get to attend stockholder’s meeting when I’m not a stockholder. Or how I get invited to an exclusive event or meeting when I’m just a newbie blogger who’s trying to learn and spread financial literacy.
Sometimes I also think that I’m kind of a “gate crasher”. 🙂 But not really because I have my invitation letter and the confirmation of my registration as proof. So no, I’m not a gate crasher. I’m legally and formally invited!
I guess it’s really all about finding ways. Just like BDO’s tagline, I always find ways. 🙂
A frugal person like me would always try to find ways to be able to attend seminars for free and only pay when needed. It also includes finding the right sponsor – a person or a company who’s very much willing to pay the registration fee on your behalf.
Indeed it’s just a matter of being resourceful. Most events now are published on the internet and part of our responsibility is to search and find them.
And here at Pinay Investor, I’ll try to share some of the upcoming seminars that I know of (both paid and free) and it’s all up to you if you want to attend or not. But I will only limit to the seminars that are related to personal finance and financial literacy.
So without further chit-chats, here’s the latest that I found online…
The Philippine Trading Training Center (PTTC) will be holding Free Seminars on Global Marketing, Standards and Management this September 2014.
I picked some of the topics that I think are finance-related and here they are:
- September 15 (PM)– BIR Matters for SMEs
- September 16 (AM)– Understanding Financial Statement
- September 16 (PM) – Financial Analysis
- September 19 (PM) – Financial Management
And here’s the complete list of the seminars with the schedules in case you’re interested.
Like what’s stated above, Registration starts at 8:00 AM and seats are on “FIRST COME FIRST SERVED” (FCFS) basis. For questions or inquiries, you may contact them directly through their contact numbers and email address above. You can also visit their official website here and their facebook page here.
Hope you find this post helpful.
See you there! 🙂
