It’s been a month since my last post and today I’m just gonna share with you the latest stats of Pinay Investor and some updates on what I’ve been into lately.
I finally received my first ever ad revenue from Infolinks last month. I didn’t expect it so I was surprised when I saw that there’s already $85 balance on my Paypal account. It’s not much, but not bad either, is it? 🙂
I’ve had this blog since July 2014. I started running Infolinks ads in April 2015 and after almost 5 months, I got $85, which for me, it’s more of a passive income because I haven’t really put too much effort on this. I mean, I’ve been too busy lately that I rarely have time to blog.
What more if I consistently blog and share interesting and helpful ideas more often? I think I would have gotten higher revenue. If you want to earn passive income by running ads on your blog, try INFOLINKS too and let me know if it works for you.
So far, Infolinks is the only ad that I run on Pinay Investor blog. I removed the other ads including Chitika, Propeller, and Nuffnang because I don’t think they work well on my blog. Plus I received a constructive feedback from a loyal follower that the Propeller ad was kind of spammy and visitors of the site might think that there’s a virus or something.
I value customer experience that’s why I disabled it right away upon knowing this. Apart from being a blogger, I’m also a blog reader and I hate it when I see ads popping up all over the place.
I’ve tried applying for Google Adsense three times already, but for some reason, this blog wouldn’t make it. At first it was saying that the language was not supported, which I believe is due to the fact that majority of the comments on my blog posts are Tagalog. I even temporarily deleted around 400 Tagalog comments to try my luck with adsense, but to no avail.
After being disapproved three times, I decided to apply using my mommy blog, which I recently migrated to its new domain, Pinay Investor Mom.
To my surprise, my Google Adsense application was finally approved! My next goal is to work on monetizing this mommy blog through adsense and I hope I could sustain it.
Yesterday, I attended the Blogapalooza event at One Esplanade. This is where businesses, bloggers, and brands meet, promote, and network. This is the second time I attended Blogapalooza and I’m glad I’ve been a part of this huge event. I was able to meet various brands and fellow bloggers who share the same interest and passion in the world of blogging.
Last week I received an exclusive invitation for the Bloggys 2015 Philippine Blogging Awards Gala Night on November 21, 2015. I’m surprised because my blog is pretty new and I’m not really an active blogger. Being recognized as one of the top blogs in the Philippines is something that I’m proud of because that means that I was able to give value to my readers and that even inspire and motivate me to do better and deliver more.
To date, Pinay Investor YouTube Channel has 40 videos and has 778 organic subscribers already. I get an average of 5 subscribers per day without doing anything. It’s purely organic.
In terms of monetization, my channel was previously linked to this site which has been disapproved by Google Adsense. I haven’t been able to login to that account since then and I have not been able to cash out my earnings from my YouTube videos. So I think I’ll just consider it “gone”.
When Pinay Investor Mom was approved by Google Adsense, I linked my Pinay Investor YouTube Channel, and based on its current stats and estimated earnings, I’m hoping that it will finally reach the threshold to cash out the earnings by next month.
The number of likes on my Pinay Investor FB page has not shown any progress. Obviously, it has been overtaken by the performance of my YouTube Channel in terms of likes and subscription and also in terms of engagement.
Pinay Investor Twitter account is also starting to grow in terms of the number of tweets and followers. I’m starting to get the hang of it and I know I’m getting there.
I just started using Instagram, with 2 posts so far, and I’m still trying to figure out how to use it. 🙂
Google Plus on the other hand, is where I publish new blog posts and videos. I noticed that a lot of my videos ranked on the first page of Google when I publish it on Google Plus. I’m not exactly sure if it’s because of that or maybe the videos have gained good rankings due to organic searches.
As of Oct 26, 2015, Pinay Investor’s Alexa Global Rank is 1,164,096 and Rank in Philippines is 17,285.
Pinay Investor blog gets a daily average of 1,000 unique visits and 4,000 page views.
That’s all for now. I hope I didn’t bore you with the numbers. I just wanted to share how my simple blog has gone from zero to what it is now. I wrote this not only to motivate myself to keep going, but also to hopefully inspire you to start your dream blog now if you haven’t yet, or to continue providing value to your readers through your blog if you have already started, and not to give up on it.
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear your blogging journey too. Feel free to share your story in the comment section below. Come on, let’s connect! 🙂
