Updates on Pinay Investor and some Personal Events
I’m back and thank God this site is back up and running again!
Namiss ko ‘tong site at namiss ko kayong lahat! 🙂
This website was down for 2 days due to some technical issues and if you happened to check www.pinayinvestor.com in the past 2 days, you’ve probably seen that it was only showing up with an error. Worst was I couldn’t even access my web host’s Cpanel or my WordPress’ admin account!
When I got the chance this morning, I contacted Hostgator’s Chat support, and then I was given a link to some troubleshooting resources, which I did on my own because they said my issue was out of scope. I knew it was too risky to resolve something that’s almost beyond my knowledge and ability but I tried my luck and thank God I made it! Whew!
I wanna feel like I’m an IT or web master now but I know I was only lucky to have solved the issue without making it worse or completely inaccessible. 🙂
Anyway, as you might have noticed also, I was kind of missing in action on this blog in the past few weeks due to my busy schedule. 🙂 Not as busy as celebrities but I had a couple of personal matters that hindered me from posting new articles on this site.
My brother just got married early this month and we were all busy preparing for their wedding in Tarlac. I also celebrated my 29th birthday (oops, tanda ko na pala!) this month but there was no party or anything. My hubby just cooked spaghetti for me and our little girl. Then it was Mother’s day! Hubby and I just went out for a simple dinner at Tapsi ni Vivian, one of our fave go-to kainan whenever we crave for Tapsilog. 🙂
We also went to my hometown in Samar for a 2-week vacation with my whole family, including my parents, me, hubby and our daughter, my eldest brother and his family, my younger brother and her wife (the newly-weds), and my youngest sister (who’s still single and available). 🙂 And yes, we had a lot of fun during those 2 weeks in the province. It was the first time that we got together as a family on vacation. It has never happened before due to differences in schedules and priorities, and I hope it’s not the last. Cheers to more family get togethers!
Back to Pinay Investor, when I finally logged in to my website’s back end this afternoon, I was surprised of the spike in its analytics for 8 consecutive days before it went down on the afternoon of May 25th and became completely inaccessible. From the usual 3,000 page views daily, it suddenly went up to 20,000 then 50,000, and it even reached 150,000 page views in just one day!
I also received almost 500 comments which were mostly spams, but 30 of them were real comments on different blog posts on my site. That was a milestone for Pinay Investor because usually I only get 5 comments per month.
The ads on this site have also shown an increase in revenues.
Indeed, Pinay Investor’s performance lately was amazing but at the same time alarming, that’s why my webhost temporarily shut it down.
I’m so happy that this website, www.pinayinvestor.com, is up again. Thank you to all of you who have been supporting me and this site. The feedback and comments (positive and negative) that I receive on this site are very much appreciated and I will do my best to post more relevant and valuable articles in the coming days.
All my best,
