My name is Janice.
I am the woman behind Pinay Investor.
I am a mom to my adorable 9-month old baby girl, whose name is Macey.
I worked in the call center for 7 long years.
I decided to resign exactly on my 7th year in the company, that was May 2014, because I wanted to stay close to my daughter all day long. She’s growing so fast and I don’t want to miss her little milestones and changes.
So I’m currently a stay-at-home mom. I’m unemployed. I spend most of my time learning new skills while taking care of my baby girl.
I created this simple website (yes I personally made this through self-learning) for three reasons:
- First, I have been reading blogs and articles online for almost a year now and only few women (especially Pinays) write about personal finance and investment topics.
- Second, I want to make a diary or journal about my personal investing experiences.
- And third, I want to share everything that I’ve learned along the way including my mistakes so that I would be able to do it better the next time I try it.
Here at Pinay Investor, I will be talking more about investing but I would like to emphasize that it’s not only going to be about money or finance. I will also talk about investing time and effort to learn new things that could hopefully help me (and you too) in achieving my goal to financial freedom.
